Wow! So, Dr. Horrible, all three parts are streaming now, and people are so passionate about it! (Especially the ending 😉 ) I can’t tell you how exciting a process this has been, the filming, the singing, the launching…it’s been such a thrill! My aunt, who runs a children’s theatre in Madison, Ala, said that her students were walking around singing, “On the Rise” all day. So cool. And I’m not one to be giddy about press, but I did geek out when, on the way home from filming a commercial yesterday, I was listening to NPR (as usual) and theyran a story on the show. I flipped out!! Hearing Linda Slidell say my name was a thrill beyond compare.
Anyway, now that the streaming is over, the Comicon push is looming on the horizon, and man is it a lot to juggle! Friday is pretty much all day Horrible: Panel, signing, late screening and press in between. I’ve never been to Comicon so I have no idea what to expect, but I know it’s gonna be everything I can’t prepare myself for, so I’m vowing to just “go with the flow”.
On top of being an actor though, I’m a producer, which adds a layer of stress/fun to it all. The whole cast of “The Guild” will be signing and greeting fans for an hour or two each day in the Browncoat both. Please check The Guild website for the specific times. We’ll be selling the DVD out of the booth the whole time and signing during the designated hours. I’ll be there for most of the slots I believe, but the other cast will be there covering if I’m not, so please stop by and say hi, they would love it! It’s very exciting to have them meet fans of the show, because they don’t interact online with them like I do, so it will be a big thrill to have people recognize them 🙂
I know to bring snacks, comfortable shoes and hand sanitizer (I get colds easily) but if you have any other tips, please post them here! Also, if anyone sees any fantasy author signings I may have missed, alert me to them! I intend to be a fan there also 🙂
